The LA Chess Ladder heads back to the Los Angeles Public Library. This time, the Chatsworth branch. See the details below for this fun event and check back later for more great chess events!

Who: This chess event is open to everyone! You do not need to be a member of the LA Chess Ladder to attend this event. Let us know if you plan to come, but you can also just show up πŸ™‚

What/When/Where: This is not a tournament. Rather this is a chess event where LA Chess Ladder members can meet with chess players in the community. Come to play challenge matches, casual chess, teach, and learn. In addition, I will be teaching an introduction to playing chess followed by an introduction to chess strategy. Chess sets and timers will be provided but you may bring your own if you wish. Players of all ages and playing levels are welcome. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Public Library Chatsworth Branch at 21052 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311. The event will take place on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, at 3 pm.

Who: This chess event is open to all adults and teenagers! You do not need to be a member of the LA Chess Ladder to attend this event. Let us know if you plan to come, but you can also just show up πŸ™‚

What/When/Where: This is not a tournament. Rather this is a social/educational event where LA Chess Ladder members can meet with chess players in the community. Come to play challenge matches, casual chess, teach, and learn. I will be giving 2 hours of teaching on how to play chess, basic chess strategy, and appreciating these rules and principles by analyzing a real game. Chess sets and timers will be provided but you may bring your own if you wish. Players of all playing levels are welcome, whether you are looking to learn how to play or just improve your game. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Public Library – Los Feliz Branch at 1874 Hillhurst Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027. The event will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024, at 1 pm.
